This week, the Joker: Folie à Deux star Lady Gaga was spotted arriving at Venice Film Festival with her fiancé, 46-year-old Michael Polansky, lugging a truly enormous diamond.
At ELLE we love an engagement ring reveal so we’ve been hanging out for Gaga to flash some bling since we heard about her engagement in July. Gaga has previously been secretive about her engagement to Michael Polansky.
She confirmed their engagement at the Olympic Games when she was overheard introducing Polansky to French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal as “my fiancé.” Before this possibly accidental reveal, Gaga had kept the engagement quiet. People reported in July that Gaga had celebrated her 38th birthday without her engagement ring to avoid being photographed with it. It seems like now she’s ready, walking with her hands proudly splayed across her chest in front of photographers.
Gaga let the ring do the talking, pairing her rock with a sweet mini dress by La Roxx, sheer tights, black pumps and black sunnies.
Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky’s Relationship
When Gaga first revealed their relationship, fans were taken aback by her “normie” beau. Polansky is a Harvard graduate, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and tech investor from Silicon Valley. He is the co-founder of the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunology.
The pair were first spotted together in February 2020 when Gaga shared an Instagram snap of them aboard a boat. They’re thought to have been dating for around five years. While she’s shared plenty of selfies with her beau on social media, she’s been tight-lipped about the details of their relationship, although he has joined her at public appearances like Joe Biden’s 2021 inauguration and the Super Bowl.
When Is Lady Gaga Getting Married?
According to People, Gaga and Polansky are currently planning their wedding, but a date hasn’t been confirmed. A source also told the publication that the pair would love to start a family.
