Kim, Kanye, Kate Moss And More Support Alexander Wang’s New Charitable Collaboration

Alexander Wang celebrates his 10 year anniversary this season, and as expected, he’s doing it BIG. In August, he released the 10 Year Capsule Collection, a fan-chosen selection of pieces from Wang’s archives set to be sold once again. Now, he’s teamed up with the charity Do Something to create a collection of t-shirts and hoodies, with proceeds from sales going to the organization.

“When we started talking about the 10th anniversary, we asked ourselves, ‘What is the goal?'” Wang told ELLE.com via email. “Instead of just making it about ourselves, I wanted to somehow find a way to give back. I had never teamed up with a charity before and wanted this to be meaningful.” He continued, “I was drawn to an organization that supports youth. We researched and DoSomething.org was the charity that we ultimately decided on.”

Together, the two collaborated on the collection and brought on photographer Steven Klein to shoot the pieces on a bevy of celebrities including Kim Kardashian West, Taraji P. Henson, Kanye West, and Lauren Hutton. “They were super open and excited to work with us,” says the designer. “We brought together people who we respect or who have been a big part of our brand. The project would have been impossible without Pascal Dangin and Steven Klein who were both really instrumental to pull this off.”
