Kacey Musgraves is taking a break from hanging out with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and will be back in Australia before we know it. Six years after she last serenaded Australian fans with Golden Hour, the eight-time Grammy-winning country music star will bring the Deeper Well tour to Australia this November 2025. Yes, she’s announced her first Australian show since 2019. Here’s everything you need to know, including where to get tickets.
Last time Musgraves was on Australian shores, she famously performed a “shoey” (out of a glass slipper, of course) while performing in Melbourne. Some might feel that her long absence is a sign that we scared her off, but Musgraves assured the press that she’s missed her Australian fans, shoey or no shoey. Musgraves said she “cannot wait to come back to Australia.” “It’s been too long,” Musgraves added. “I’m excited to see my lovely Australian fans.”
Musgraves holds a special place in the hearts of many progressive country music fans. Her single “Follow Your Arrow” from her first album Same Trailer Different Park earned a spot on Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Country Music Songs of All Time. The publication hailed her as “one of the loudest symbols of young country musicians embracing progressive values.”
Musgraves burst onto the scene in 2013, with her debut album Same Trailer Different Park debuting at number two on the US album chart. It featured hits such as “Merry Go ’Round”, “Blowin’ Smoke”, and “Follow Your Arrow”.
“Even if [people] don’t agree with the girls-kissing-girls thing or even the drug reference,” Musgraves said of her breakout song, “I would hope that they would agree that no matter what, we all should be able to love who we want to love and live how we want to live.” Since then, she’s won eight Grammys and many hearts. Presented by Frontier Touring and Chugg Entertainment, the Australian run will include two nights at the Sydney Opera House, as well as dates in Brisbane and Melbourne.

What Will Be On Kacey Musgraves’ Deeper Well Tour Set List?
Kacey Musgraves will be swapping her prairie glitter for the polished, quietly psychedelic folk pop of her last album (although we hope she won’t have entirely left her rhinestone boots or swishy Valentino dresses at the door).
Expect a… Deeper Well-heavy set — “Cardinal”, “Too Good To Be True”, “The Architect” — threaded with Golden Hour favourites (“Slow Burn”, “Butterflies”, “High Horse”) and cult sing-alongs like “Follow Your Arrow”. That’s been the pattern across her recent global shows.
The Hype Around Deeper Well – Musgraves’ Ode To A ‘Saturn Return’
Beyond the six-year absence, Deeper Well arrived to rapturous reviews and commercial love, debuting at #1 on the US Top Country Albums chart and cracking Australia’s ARIA Country Albums top five. It’s Musgraves at her most refined — folk-leaning, emotionally exact, still soft-glittered at the edges — and these theatre-scale rooms are tailor-made for that intimacy. The album explores the concept of a “Saturn Return”, an astrological concept that describes the moment Saturn returns to the place it was in a person’s chart when they were born. Typically occurring between the ages of 27 and 30, the Saturn return is marked by upheaval, chaos and rapid growth, all themes explored in Deeper Well.
