After months of whispers, it seems Oscar-nominated actor Ana de Armas and Top Gun star Tom Cruise have taken their relationship public. TMZ (who have been busy this week) have shared photos of the rumoured couple holding hands on a low-key getaway in Woodstock, Vermont over the July 27 weekend.
As per the publication they stopped for ice cream while driving through a national park and shared a rare PDA.
Neither star has commented, and their reps have historically declined to characterise the relationship. In June this year,a source told People the couple were “just friends” collaborating on multiple projects together.
Cruise attended de Armas’ 37th birthday in May, and the same month, de Armas confirmed she was working on several projects with Cruise, who has gushed about the actor’s performance in the John Wick spin-off Ballerina.
“[Ana is a] very, very talented, great dramatic actress, comedic, tremendous ability, learns quickly,” the Top Gun actor told Extra.

July 2025: De Armas And Cruise Enjoy Oasis Date
De Armas and Cruise are clearly die-hard Oasis fans. The pair attended back-to-back Wembley shows on July 25 and 26. Clearly Cruise is a good sport, in 2007 the Gallagher brothers were caught roasting the actor in the documentary Lord Don’t Slow Me Down. “He’s a little f**ker, and he’s not been in one good film in his entire career,” Noel says on camera about Cruise, while Liam adds: “I hate Tom Cruise. Bastard. Him and [soccer player] Michael Owen.” Reportedly, Cruise confronted Liam Gallagher in 2009 when they found themselves in the same hotel in Berlin. According to Variety, the exchange was playful with Cruise reminding Gallagher he was on the record as saying Cocktail was a good movie.
Again, there was a slim professional link to the public appearance. People confirmed Cruise and de Armas are preparing to film the Liman thriller Deeper together.
June 2025: A Mediterranean Escape
In June they enjoyed a Mediterranean escape with ¡HOLA! USA sharing pics of the “just good friends” sailing off Menorca, seeming relaxed.
May 2025: Cruise And De Armas Heap Praise On Each Other
De Armas appeared on Good Morning America to share that she and Cruise would be working together on “a few projects” with directors Doug Liman and Christopher McQuarrie. At the New York premiere of Mission Impossible — The Final Reckoning Cruise raved about de Armas’s performance. He told Extra and Access Hollywood that she was “very, very talented.” “Her ability is incredible,” he raved. “There’s an actress who has dramatic chops, someone who’s comedic, very, very talented. You see her in Ballerina… just a great actress.” He later shared an Instagram clip of de Armas’s action movie Ballerina, calling it “kick ass”.
De Armas was similarly effusive about Cruise. At the June 3 premiere of Ballerina she said Cruise’s support for her movie had been “unbelievable” and “really amazing.”
“But you know what, he supports every movie. He really wants the industry and cinema to go well and people going to the theaters,” de Armas said. “We’re working together, so he got to see Ballerina and he actually really liked it. He loved the John Wicks.”
“It is very special that someone like him is supporting [Ballerina],” she added. “It is really special in general to have other actors and people supporting each other. We can do well all together.”
April 2025: Ana De Armas’s Birthday
In what looked like a grand romantic gesture from the Mission Impossible star, Tom Cruise piloted de Armas into London via helicopter for her 37th birthday celebrations. People reported they were travelling from Madrid, Spain. Tom Cruise was something of a third wheel. De Armas brought her much-loved dogs, Elvis and Salsa, along for the ride. Later that weekend, they were spotted walking through the park, and a few days later, The Daily Mail reported they attended David Beckham’s birthday together.
March 2025:
The pair were spotted enjoying themselves at a London heliport, further fuelling speculation. Papped by TMZ, hopping out of a helicopter (a fitting form of air travel for the Mission Impossible star) they were papped smiling and laughing, both dressed casually.
February 2025:
Cruise and de Armas were photographed dining out together on Valentine’s day, no less. While People breathlessly reported the incident, sources insisted it was a professional dinner and the timing was coincidental.
Who Has Ana De Armas Dated?
Ana de Armas was previously married to Spanish actor Marc Clotet. They became a couple in 2010 and married one year later but split two years after in 2013. De Armas was then linked to Hollywood agent Franklin Latt between 2015 and 2016 and in 2017 she briefly dated photographer Alejandro Piñeiro Bello.
More recently, and publically, de Armas dated Ben Affleck. The pair got together in 2019 after meeting on Deep Water in November 2019. People reported the couple had “great chemistry right from the start.” In March 2020 their romance was confirmed when they were spotted vacationing in Cuba together. Things got serious later that year when Ana posted a picture of them to Instagram, she moved in with Affleck soon after. De Armas moved on quickly with Tinder Vice President Paul Boukadakis after meeting through mutual friends. It was rumoured they were living together but People reported the low-key couple had split by November 2024. Controversially, a seemingly brief fling with Manuel Anido Cuesta followed.
