Each year, the British Fashion Awards gathers the industry’s most influential figures at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Hosted by the British Fashion Council and presented by Pandora, the awards recognise the achievements of fashion luminaries each year. And, given it’s a night packed with fashion’s most important people, there’s always plenty of inspiration to find on the red carpet.
What Are The British Fashion Awards?
The British Fashion Council says that the awards “unites the global fashion community in London, the home of fashion and creativity, to amplify leaders of change, celebrate excellence and support the next generation of creative talent.
This year Tom Ford took home the Outstanding Achievement Award while Chemena Kamali (unsurprisingly) John Galliano, Miuccia Prada, Jonathan Anderson, Rick Owens and Pieter Mulier were nominated for Designer of the Year.
So far, along with Tom Ford, Alex Consani has become the first trans model to win Model of the Year and has been named Model of the Year, and Jonathan Anderson has won Designer of the Year.
While this is all exciting stuff, our eyes were, of course, trained on the red carpet, where fashion’s finest were doing the most. Here are some of our favourite looks.
